Thirteen Y-shaped structures carry a fine metal mesh canopy under a white tensile skin. The light had to suggest the structure and make it as light as possible.
Six ambiences for a toll plaza
Six lighting options for the station at night: a soft golden glow on the booths and the canopy, LED lines tracing the structure, street lights and floor lighting easing drivers in, contrast between warm light and the night sky.

The canopy as a lit mesh
Variations on the canopy itself: the mesh lit from below, points of light on its nodes, the whole roof reading as a radiant plane that reflects on the wet asphalt.

Placing the fixtures
First placement studies on the 3D model, then a first prescription: linear dynamic-white washers along the structure, floodlights for the canopy, recessed floor lights and slim wall washers.
